Beach House Inspiration
The above photo is from the offices of Dallas Amante. An inspiration board for a residential project by the sea! I'm sharing this with you to allow you to see how fashion, color and texture inspire me as a designer.
If you click here, you will be redirected to my "Beach House" Pinterest Board in which I have collected options for furniture, bedding and accessories that are directly inspired by this board. Aqua, seagrass, rope, rivets, leathers and waves take form in everything from furniture to ceramic trays.
It's planned to be a Spanish home by the beach. The idea is to ground aquatic elements with terra cotta tiles and arched doorways. Woven furnishings enhance the idea of handmade pieces, traditional in Spanish style while at the same time fitting within the coastal scheme. Natural elements like horn, rope and bone inlay establish a connection with nature. And soft velvets create a soothing, watery feel.
I'll be sure to share with you more concentrated schemes as the project continues. Enjoy!
