This is the stunning contemporary ranch that Tom Ford calls home outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The design is by Tadao Ando and features his signature juxtaposition of light and dark. Ford enlisted Ando for that reason. He recalls, "That's why I hired him, I think he is so much about walls and light. And the local architecture of New Mexico is of course adobe and fortress like, and the light is very strong there, so it's about light and massive walls."
Indeed, clean lines and a stunning use of natural light is evident, as you will see in the photos below. The design may not scream "ranch" to most, but isn't that what we love about Mr. Ford?
