Cartier Love Bracelet

Nothing says love like jewelry, right? The "Love Bracelet" was designed in 1969 by Aldo Cipullo for Société Cartier, the French jeweler more commonly known as just Cartier.

The design was intentionally fashioned after medieval chastity belts featuring screws all the way around the solid gold bracelet. But it's not just aesthetic. They are actually screws and the bracelet comes with it's own screwdriver. Where as most bangles slip on over the wrist, you need the screwdriver to unlock the bracelet so that you can slide it over your hand.

The screwdriver is also available on a necklace, allowing the bracelet to be "locked" onto one person while the "key" is kept around the neck of another as a symbol for their commitment to their relationship.

The design has been worn by everyone from Rick James to Princess Diana. And this expression of loves comes with a price, starting at just over $6,000.00 and exceeding $35,000.00 when adorned with diamonds.
